Date Abuse Type Description
May 17, 2022 blackmail scam Received a spoofed email with the following subject: "You have an outstanding payment. Debt settlement required." Tries to tell users that he has access to the computer, captured embarassing video and threatens to release it. Wants 1500 Euro in Bitcoin. The email seems to come from the recipients adress and that may lead some people to believe the scammers lies. It's important for people to understand that spoofing an email adress is very easy!! So this proves absolutely nothing! I'm convinced the scammer lies and also: The scammer threatens to take action after 48 hours, but I've found it in my spam folder where it was for a week and nothing happened, of course! So no need to pay! Stay safe!

Clearly, I could effortlessly log in to your email account as well. Actually, that was rather a simple thing to do (because you have opened a few links from your inbox emails previously). Genius is in simplicity. ( ^_~) Thanks to that software I can get access to all controllers inside your devices (such as your video camera, microphone, keyboard etc.). I could easily download all your data, photos, web browsing history and other information to my servers. I can access all your social networks accounts, messengers, emails, including chat history as well as contacts list. This virus of mine unceasingly keeps refreshing its signatures (since it is controlled by a driver), and as result stays unnoticed by antivirus software.
May 11, 2022 blackmail scam Received a spoofed email with the following subject: "You have an outstanding payment. Debt settlement required." The email indicated a trojan/malware was used to gained access controlling webcam, microphone, keyboard, etc. and could be used to track all activity including visiting adult websites. This activity is supposedly being monitored and recorded and will be released unless a $1490 USD bitcoin equivalent is paid by depositing in a bitcoin wallet (1Bg62SYMjRfcSVaUM9VoAcr8Fy6bX2qQbN). If payment isn't made within 48 hours then all of the supposed compromising information would be released.
