Reports:
Date | Abuse Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Jan 5, 2020 | sextortion | Email address spoofed to victim's email address. Typical sextortion scam email including a past or current password of the victim as 'evidence' of being hacked. Claims to have used a Cisco router vulnerability to hack victim. In reality, each email address in the dump of a past data breach is sent the password cracked from the associated password hash in the dump. |
Jan 14, 2019 | ransomware | The blackmailer who the wallet [0c830a00ff] /0c830a00ff81a403 used with 22 bitcoin addresses transfers the extorted amounts to the wallets [38bbe8be48], [18748c0de4] [fffa724a35], [c5cae5868f], 8e7886f55c], [2dce168d16], [69a2956c73] ,[13565d5eea], [64ab7d8148],[c6453a1c7c], [3428231114] This is obviously the biggest nonsense, paying with Bitcoin is anonymous so the scammer cannot know who the money came from (there is no sender). The story as described in the mail is therefore incorrect and is not based on truths. |
Jan 14, 2019 | blackmail scam | Reported to the Internet Storm Center (https://isc.sans.edu) as a blackmail campaign |
Dec 27, 2018 | blackmail scam | Used a LiveJournal password not in any database of compromised passwords. |
Dec 21, 2018 | blackmail scam | The hacking was carried out using a hardware vulnerability through which you went online (Cisco router, vulnerability CVE-2018-0296). I went around the security system in the router, installed an exploit there. When you went online, my exploit downloaded my malicious code (rootkit) to your device. This is driver software, I constantly updated it, so your antivirus is silent all time. Since then I have been following you (I can connect to your device via the VNC protocol). That is, I can see absolutely everything that you do, view and download your files and any data to yourself. I also have access to the camera on your device, and I periodically take photos and videos with you. At the moment, I have harvested a solid dirt... on you... I saved all your email and chats from your messangers. I also saved the entire history of the sites you visit. I note that it is useless to change the passwords. My malware update passwords from your accounts every times. |

Dec 7, 2018 | blackmail scam | I received an email (apparently from my own account) which echoed one of my passwords, not my email password but clearly an unsecured one, stating that it has my information, passwords, search history and so on and so forth. The email is asking for $833 to the bitcoin address. It's obviously bullshit. |
Dec 6, 2018 | blackmail scam | I took photos and videos of your most passionate funs with adult content, and synchronized them in real time with the image of your camera. Believe it turned out very high quality! So, to the business! I'm sure you don't want to show these files and visiting history to all your contacts. Transfer $857 to my Bitcoin cryptocurrency wallet: 1GXazHVQUdJEtpe62UFozFibPa8ToDoUn3 Just copy and paste the wallet number when transferring. If you do not know how to do this - ask Google. My system automatically recognizes the translation. As soon as the specified amount is received, all your data will be destroyed from my server, and the rootkit will be automatically removed from your system. Since opening this letter you have 48 hours. If funds not will be received, after the specified time has elapsed, the disk of your device will be formatted, and from my server will automatically send email and sms to all your contacts with compromising material. |
Dec 6, 2018 | blackmail scam | Threatens to send photos and browsing history to my contacts if I don't pay bitcoin. |
