Nov 11, 2018 | ransomware | The hacking was carried out using a hardware vulnerability through which you went online (Cisco router, vulnerability CVE-2018-0296). I went around the security system in the router, installed an exploit there. When you went online, my exploit downloaded my malicious code (rootkit) to your device. This is driver software, I constantly updated it, so your antivirus is silent all time. |

Nov 11, 2018 | ransomware | More of the same, claiming he has hacked into my computer, installed malware, and taken compromising pictures of me. This one is from IP 2.177.233.130 (Iran). He sites an actual vulnerability affecting some Cisco routers (which I don't have). If I don't transfer $832 to his Bitcoin wallet within 48 hours, he will re-format my hard drive. I am trembling with fear---LOL! The claims of these idiots are getting more entertaining all the time. |
